CBA Roundup: Shandong beat Xinjiang, Tongxi trounce Bayi

CHANGCHUN, China, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Ding Yanyuhang scored 18 points as Shandong beat Xinjiang to take a comeback victory with 116-105, while Tongxi beat Bayi 126-101 in the 31st round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Thursday.

Shandong spreaded out the offense to take the lead in the first half. Xinjiang failed to cut the gap in the second half. With Ty Lawson and Ding's excellent performance, Shandong registered their third straight win.

Six players scored double digits to help Tongxi defeat Bayi. Facing Bayi, Tongxi managed to get a 61-47 lead to force game into garbage time early. With exploding three-pointers, Tongxi enlarge the gap to double digits in the last quarter and seal the victory.

In other matches played on Thursday, Qingdao defeated Sichuan 121-100 to end their four-game losing streak.
