Lakers take big win over Knicks 127-107

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Los Angeles Lakers beat the New York Knicks 127-107 in NBA action on Sunday night at the Staples Center.

Led by their center Julius Randle and point guard Jordan Clarkson, the Lakers played a very effective game. The teams were neck and neck for the first three quarters but the young Lakers team outscored the Knicks 30 to 18 in the final quarter.

Clarkson Sunday was the star once again after scoring 33 points in the win over the Indiana Pacers on Friday. He recorded a game-high 29 points with 10 assists for a double-double, while Randle pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds to go along with his 27 points.

Lakers' so-called future star point guard Lonzo Ball, continued being notable in his absence. However another guard Alex Caruso, who has only a two-way contract with the Lakers, has done a great job distributing the ball in back-to-back wins.

On the side of the Knicks, Tim Hardaway Jr., Kristaps Porzinigis and Michael Beasley, who played for CBA's Shandong Golden Star in the 2016 - 2017 season, all shared the workload by scoring 17 points each.

After this game, the Lakers, who are 11th in the Western Conference, will face the Boston Celtics at home before heading on a five-game away trip.
