CBA Roundup: Sichuan lose at home to Shandong
BEIJING, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Donatas Motiejunas scored 33 points, Ding Yanyuhang had 30 points and the visiting Shandong beat Sichuan 121-105 to register their fourth straight victory in the 11th round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday night.
Shandong opened the game with 6-2 lead, thus leading all the way to the end. Former NBA player Ty Lawson added 18 points and 6 assists. Hamed Haddadi of Sichuan made 14 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds, and Zuo Zhennian collected a team-high 21 points. Jamaal Franklin contributed 20 points.
Guangdong had a hard-fought win against host Qingdao with 112-109. Yi Jianlian notched a double-double with 19 points and 20 rebounds, and he was one of three players of Guangdong to do so.
Zhao Rui of Guangdong added 16 points and 10 rebounds, but quit the final quarter due to an injury.
Maciej Lampe of Qingdao had a game-high 32 points and 17 rebounds, but failed to help the host to win their second win in their last 11 games.
In other games, Shenzhen beat Shanxi 115-101; Liaoning won over Aolong 105-97; Xinjiang suffered a loss to Tongxi 114-101; Jilin took Beijing down with 97-88; Zhejiang defeated Fujian 131-123; Jiangsu handed Bayi their 11th loss with 92-86.
