Spurs defeat Mavericks in Parker's return

WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Veteran guard Tony Parker started for the first time this season for the San Antonio Spurs as the team triumphed over the Dallas Mavericks 115-108 on Monday.

Forward LaMarcus Aldridge had a season-high 33 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs. Parker had six points and four assists in 14 minutes of his first appearance since tearing his right quadriceps tendon on May 3 against the Houston Rockets in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals last season.

Center Pau Gasol added 25 points for the Spurs.
