Jilin trounces Qingdao 137-119 to stop CBA losing streak
CHANGCHUN, China, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Von Waver scored a game-high 46 points as Jilin defeated Qingdao 137-119 in the 7th round of the 2017-18 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Saturday.
The visitors engined a 10-4 run to start the match, before Jilin players caught up with them later on. After a pair of 3-pointers from Chai Changyi, Jilin even led the first quarter by two points.
Kail Landry then dominated the home court, with Von Waver having his show during the second half, capitalizing on the defensive loopholes at ease.
It's the second win for Jilin this season. Landry contributed a double double of 35 points and 12 rebounds, Chai scored 13 and Zhang Biao made 12 points.
Jonathan Gibson got a team-high 32 points for Qingdao, Terrence Jones also made 19 points and 9 rebounds, and Gao Shang had 14 points, but they were unable to stop Qingdao from losing its sixth straight game.
