Rockets beat Hawks 119-104 to notch up second consecutive win
WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Houston Rockets eased past the Atlanta Hawks 119-104 to claim their second straight win on the road on Friday while the Hawks suffered a eight-match losing streak.
The Rockets have improved to 7 wins and 3 losses, including 6 wins and one loss on the road. James Harden scored 29 points and 11 assists for Houston while Eric Gordon added 20 as the Rockets poured in 16 3-pointers.
"We haven't been shooting the 3-ball all that great this year," said Gordon, who made three 3s. "But once we start shooting 3s we'll be hard to stop."
"A good two games for us, but it's got to be not just two games or 10 games, it's got to be an entire season to get where we want to go," Harden said.
The Rockets led 36-25 in the first quarter and 69-51 at halftime. Compared to the on-fire Houston, the Hawks are in a different league. The Hawks are now one win and 8 losses, siiting at the bottom of the East Conference.
