Red Star defeat Barcelona in basketball Euroleague

BELGRADE, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Barcelona were upset 90-82 by Serbian Red Star Friday at the Aleksandar Nikolic hall in Belgrade in the second round of the regular season of the basketball Euroleague.

Home team was ahead from the beginning of the match and and extended the lead to 44-32 at the break.

Barcelona shot better in the third quarter to reduce the deficit to five points but Red Star held on for the final victory.

Milko Bjelica scored 23 points and Taylor Rochestie added 22 points and 7 assists for the home team, while Kevin Seraphim led Barcelona with 16 points and Thomas Huertel chipped in 14 points and delivered 11 assists.

On October 24 Red Star will travel to Russia to play against Khimki, while Barcelona will host Zalgiris in the third round. Enditem
