Hayward's surgery goes really well, says agent
WASHINGTON, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Mark Bartelstein, Gordon Hayward's agent, confirmed on Thursday that the Boston Celtics forward's surgery went really well.
Bartelstein said that doctors "got everything sort of fixed and put back in the right place. There's no doubt we'll get him back to be better than he was before".
"There's no doubt in my mind about that," he added.
After signing a four-year, 128 million US dollars contract to come to Boston from the Utah Jazz, Hayward's Celtics career was less than six minutes old when an awkward landing in Cleveland on Tuesday night left him with a broken and dislocated ankle.
Bartelstein didn't have details on a time frame for Hayward's recovery.
"It will be a while," Bartelstein said. "I think it's very unlikely he'll play this season. But we're not even thinking about a time frame right now."
