Africa Zone 5 Basketball Championship enters quarterfinals stage in Uganda
KAMPALA, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- The ongoing Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA) Africa Zone 5 championship has entered quarterfinals stage in Uganda.
Defending champions City Oilers (Uganda) will face Gondar City (Ethiopia) on Thursday.
Uganda's second men's team Betway Power who stopped KPA (Kenya) on Tuesday night 73-60 to also maintain a 100 percent record will now battle Hawassa City (Ethiopia) in the knock out stage.
The other quarterfinal games will see Kenya's KPA battle Savio (Tanzania), while Patriots will be up against another Tanzanian side ABC.
The event has attracted teams from Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Winners of the Championship will represent Zone 5 at the Africa FIBA Club Championship early next year.
