Warriors' Durant named Most Valuable Player of NBA Finals
WASHINGTON, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Kevin Durant was named the unanimous Most Valuable Player of the NBA Finals after the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 on Monday night at Oracle Arena in Game 5 of the Finals.
Durant, who signed with the Warriors last summer, was instrumental in his team's 4-1 series win over the Cavaliers to capture his first NBA title and the team's second in three seasons.
The 28-year-old averaged 35.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists in the best-of-seven Finals.
