Warriors sweep Spurs to third straight NBA Finals

WASHINGTON, May 22 (Xinhua) -- The Golden State Warriors swept the San Antonio Spurs with a 129-115 win Monday night, cruising to their third straight NBA Finals.

"It's great to be one of the last two teams standing, we'll see how it goes," said Kevin Durant.

Stephen Curry scored a game-high 36 points on 14-for-24 shooting to go with six assists and five rebounds. Durant had 29 points and 12 rebounds. Draymond Green added 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for the Warriors, who became the first team in league history to start the playoffs 12-0.

The injury-ravaged Spurs were without Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker and David Lee as Golden State led by as many as 22 points. Kyle Anderson scored 20 points to lead the Spurs in scoring. LaMarcus Aldridge had eight points on 4-for-11 shooting. Patty Mills scored 14 points and Jonathon Simmons added 13 points.

The Spurs started Ginobili in what could be his final game with the team although the Spurs legend hasn't announced his retirement. The 39-year-old finished with 15 points in 32 minutes before subbing out with just under 2:25 minutes left in the fourth to a standing ovation from the crowd at AT&T Center.
