China smash Senegal 100-63 in women's basketball warm-up
YONGCHENG, China, May 3 (Xinhua) -- China smashed Senegal 100-63 in a women's basketball warm-up game held on Wednesday in Yong Cheng, a city in central China's Henan Province.
This is the first game of the newly-built Chinese national team.
Li Meng's two free throw and two three-point shots gave China a perfect start, and Senegal got the first point after half of the first quarter ending with China's lead of 19 points.
Huge gap in ability made Senegal have no opportunity to win, and China led the first half with 63-28.
Although Senegal stepped up attack, they still cannot catch up with China, and lost the game with 63-100.
China's four players got more than 10 points, including Li Meng's game-high 20 points.
"The performance of the players tonight was better than I think, our attack and defense made great changes and got better than before, but one victory doesn't mean too much," said China coach Xu Limin.
