Students from Chinese police college concludes trip in Europ

TURIN, Italy, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Thirty students from a police college in east China concluded a month-long trip in Europe on Tuesday.

The trip, attended by students aged between 19 to 22, was "to allow Chinese students to get a better view of what is happening in Europe," said Emilio Viano, president of the International Society of Criminology and one of the trip's organizers.

The students from Zhejiang Police College went to Paris, The Hague, Turin and Venice. During the trip, they not only paid visits to law enforcement agencies and international institutions, but also cultural monuments and museums, according to Viano. Their itinerary also included meetings with European police officers.

Fu Haiyan, police supervisor of the Zhejiang Police College, said "the trip is an excellent opportunity for the students to see how law enforcement officers work in Europe."

Zhejiang Police College, which is based in Hangzhou, capital city of east China's Zhejiang Province, is an organizer of China-Europe police training program under China's Ministry of Public Security.
