Chinese mixed doubles shuttlers shine in Indonesia

JAKARTA, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese mixed doubles seeded and non-seeded players were marvelous in the qualification round of International badminton super series premier championship held here on Tuesday.

The No. 1 Chinese pair Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen eased past South Korean non-seeded contenders Choi Solgyu/Chae Yoo Jung 24-22 and 21-12 in 40 minutes.

Another Chinese pair Liu Yuchen/Tang Jinhua, non-seeded, beat Singaporean pair Hee Yong Kai Terry/Tan Wei Han 13-21, 22-20 and 21-8.

The No. 2 Chinese pair Lu Kai/Huang Yakiong finally rallied to beat non-seeded Thai players Bodin Isara/Savitree Amitrapai 15-21, 21-16 and 21-17.

However, the No. 3 Chinese seeded pair Zhang Nan/Li Yinhui did not show up in the scheduled match, sending their Indonesian opponents Fachryza Abimanyu/Bunga Fitriani Romadhini to the next round directly.
