Covering an area of 6,000 square meters in total and 3,800 square meters in floor space, Du Fu Pavilion stands in the section of Xihu Road of Xiangjiang Scenic Belt. Tourist attractions here include a main building, long corridor, stone-tablet pavilion, tearoom, tablet corridor of Du Fu's poems, stone inscription of his poems, couplets and so on. In the Pavilion, you can enjoy a bird's eye view of Orange Isle, overlook the picturesque Yuelu Mountain and appreciate the amazing landscape of Changsha. Imitating the architectural style of Tang Dynasty (618-907), the view of magnificent Pavilion is enhanced by its upturned eaves, bucket arches, carved beams and painted rafters.
Based on research, the location of the Pavilion is exactly where Du Fu, crowned as poem saint, disembarked when he came to Changsha in 1335, and also where he lived, met friends and received gifts from ancient Tanzhou (today's Changsha) people when he was penniless and frustrated in his later years. The Pavilion during those years was constructed with the money collected by elders in Tanzhou.

As the animated film Chang An made history as a dark horse during China's bustling summer movie-going season in 2023, Changsha's Dufu Pavilion has become a new hit for its light-up moment. Dufu Pavilion, standing on the bank of the Xiangjiang River, is lit up at night every day. Numerous visitors flocked to the pavilion, taking photos with their phones to record this brilliant moment.
