Chinese opera, a gem of Chinese culture
As a gem of Chinese civilization, Chinese opera integrates history, literature, music, dancing, handcraft and martial arts.
There are hundreds of forms of local opera in China, among which Peking Opera and Kunqu Opera are listed by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
