Leila Slimani wins France's Goncourt literary prize with "Sweet Song"
PARIS, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- French-Moroccan writer Leila Slimani won France's prestigious literary prize, the Goncourt, organizers announced Thursday.
Slimani won 2016 Goncourt prize with "Chanson douce" ("Sweet Song"), a novel that tells the story of a nurse who killed two kids that she was looking after.
"Chanson douce" in which a fairy-nanny was transformed to a killer is based on a real-life story occurred in New York in 2012.
